LSA (Learning Support Assistant)

Active Sen are looking for a LSA (Learning Support Assistant).

This role will be working in a PRU (pupil referral unit) setting. These are students who have been taken out of a main stream setting due to their behaviour or any other conveniences in their life, which means they cannot cope in a main stream setting.

This is one of the top PRU’s for students who cannot cope in a main stream setting, they have an amazing Ofsted report alongside this an amazing reputation they have built up for themselves.

This school offers great support for their staff, alongside this they have a very competitive rate. In addition to this they have an amazing hours Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4pm. This is why we are looking for someone who will be consistent with the curriculum and the students.

The role of a LSA:

  • To help prepare lessons
  • Support on the students in their work
  • Help them build self confidence
  • Support the students emotionally and soically
  • Help deliver the best possible education to the students

What you will need for this role:

  • A DBS online
  • Experience with challenging behaviour
  • Previous sen experience
  • Any other sen certificate would be an advantage
