Active are looking for an SEN teaching assistant.
This will be working within an SEN school setting. The role will be supporting students who have SEMH (social emotional mental health), these are students who have been taken out of main stream school as they cannot cope in a main stream setting.
This school is one of the top schools for students who have SEMH, it has an amazing Ofsted along with a brilliant reputation it has built up for itself through the staff and students.
This is why we are looking for someone who will be able to commit to the students and the school. The role does come with a competitive rate and full time hours, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4pm.
The role of an SEN teaching assistant:
- Support the students in their work
- Help the teacher deliver the best possible education
- Help plan and set up lessons with the teacher
- Create and fun and safe environment for the students
What you will need for this role:
- A DBS that is online
- Previous experience working with SEN
- Previous classroom based experience
- Any other SEN qualification is an advantage
